It's about that time, I have SED's in my JSX and I love them but I know every amp is different. What is the general concensus on this?

cool thanks, I know Tad's are supposed to be a lot like the JJ's and if that is the case I didn't like the JJ's I tried in this amp.

I threw in a set of Ruby 6l6gcmstr's in and they sound great! Definitely thickened up the sound. Not night and day over the ENGL tubes but a nice improvement.

sorry to resurrect an old thread but I put in a set of Tung Sol 5881's and they sound amazing! Really thickened up the amp and took away to overly bright character.

The SED's sound excellent as well probably a bit more agressive than the Tung Sol's but not as thick or musical sounding. The SED's are by far the best of the 6l6gc's I tried though but these 5881's are magic in here.
