Ok....was bouncing this around for the past few days.
Who is your Fave Rhythm guitarist in a 2 or more guitar band?
I have mine narrowed down to 3 and I cant choose one!

Rudolf Schenker
Malcom Young
James Hetfield

All of them hold the band down....
I just cant pick one! :doh:

Hetfield is a monster rhythm player, for sure.

Most of the bands I listen too have dual lead players

He is one of my top 2 Favorite ever as well! :rock:
 
Both Hetfield and Scott Ian are machines, keeping time and chugging along. KK Downing is pretty f'in good too...
 
Damn.....Ian is right up there too. :rock:
But the other bands I listed had such a HUGE impact on me growing up.
Loved me some SCORPIONS!! ;)

Just 3 notes into alot of their songs you know exactly what it is.
 
Robert Johnson for sure, nobody played rhythm like him before or since. Clapton said a virtuoso musician could make a lifes work of studying Johnson's rhythm technique. I agree.
 
Ok. I'm thinking Rhythm only. No guys who venture out play leads, sing lead vocals, etc. The guys who hang in the background.

Paul Chapman (put up with all the Michael Schenker bullshit, subbing for him when he was "unavailable"), etc.

Seriously....Those are probably my top 2 ever for players.
 
Hetfield & Ian tops my list..
But if we can keep including EVH then I would say Dimebag :rock:

I wanted to put Dimebag, but didn't because of his lead work.
