best sounding iso cab?

I have a Silent Sister, it's not too shabby.

However, it's not like micing up a real cab, and at overly loud volumes, the resonance inside the box can ruin the tone.

It's also not completely silent, so keep that in mind.

I reckon the only decent iso cab is a small studio room with thick loose curtains hanging about 15cm from the walls.

Got to agree. Rather than spending money on an iso cab, put it towards a reactive load of some kind and use IRs. Your recordings will be definitely better than using one of those boxes.

This is solid advice! There are lots to units out there in various budgets to get some great tones to DAW.
At the low end you can get the Two-Notes Captor. Mid priced would be the Suhr RL IR, up from that you have the Two-Notes Live, then the Waza TAE and UA OX units.
