I want a strat style guitar don't wanna spend over 1000. I'm only gonna be messing around on it as I only play metal so I looked at this 200 dollar http://store.guitarfetish.com/xvdocusobo.html guitar. Do you guys have any other suggestions?

You could find a used Fender Mex Strat for around $300. You can find a real US strat used for $600.

You can certainly do better if you're price range is actually up to $1k. Do you want to stay inexpensive, or do you want the best strat for under a grand?
Honestly, for around $5-600 you can get a Japanese Fender Strat that will give you the most bang for the buck.
Others I'd look at, in a variety of price ranges:
Yamaha Pacifica
Fernandes Retro-rocket
Fender California and Aerodyne series
Ibanez Talman
Carvin Bolt and bolt plus

Agree about the MIJ models and there are killer MIM models if you demo enough that will hang with the $1500 MIA strats.
