Best Valve preamp to accompany Groove Tubes D 75 Power Amp

Dear all,

I'm new to all of this, so please forgive my fumbling around as it were. Would anyone like to advise me what all valve preamp might suit the Groove Tubes Dual 75 Power amp. I'm struggling to know what would be good to purchase and where I might obtain that elusive preamp.

The Groove Tubes Trio that was made to go with the D75 happens to be a great preamp... they're hard to find though.

What is your budget, style, and channels needed? Lots of great preamps at all price levels, for different styles.

There's some killer pres out there. The best ones will take some patience to track down. The new Synergy Preamps, might be the way to go... if you can wait a few months for them to come out. http://www.synergyamps.com

Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to reply to my question. My response to some of your replies is:

I play a mixture of styles - ranging from folk through to Santana 'high gain' tones. I also would like a clean channel for Jazz type tones too. My price range is around the £500.00 mark (unsure what that translates to in US dollars). Certainly looking for a tube preamp though as Groove Tubes recommended that will coax the best tones from the D75.

So, anyone advice from you good people would still be greatly appreciated.
