So I was working near Nashville for the last 11 months and had the good fortune to pick up a JCM 800 4x12 with G12-65’s for stupid cheap.
Cab has no logo and is very dirty, like it was in a barn or basement with dirt floors.

The tolex cleaning is easy but I’ve never had to clean grille cloth before. I don’t want damage the speakers or discolor the cloth and I don’t want to disassemble everything if I don’t have to.

What is a good course of action?

If just wiping it down doesn't do the trick, you might want to think about taking the baffle off. It's not as bad as it sounds. Once you get the speakers off, you can take the baffle out pretty easily. Then, I'd use a lot of water and soap, like garden hose style. That's the only way to ensure you don't damage the speakers with too much liquid getting through to them.
