Forgive my playing. It was a rush job. I play along with a backing track of Man in the Box for a bit and then there is a short clip of the amp dry. Brian let me name the mod and I have dubbed it The Sexual Chocolate Mod.   I plan to have a local screenprinting shop make a smaller full-color metal badge of that Sexual Chocolate picture you see in the video and I'll attach it to the front panel.

Back story: In July I contacted Brian from BFG Amplification with a concept I had for a mod I wanted to try on a Jet City JCA 22H head.

I wanted a two channel amp: a clean channel with lots of clean headroom with a fender type tone. I wanted the overdrive channel on the amp to sound like a hybrid of the EVH 5150 III Blue CH w/ more gain on tap and the Snorkler (the Bogner-modded Marshall JCM that Jerry Cantrell used on the first AIC album). But also have that EL84 grind.

Brian said he could do it and he set to work on the mod. It only took him a couple of weeks to modify the amp and get it shipped to me. When I took delivery of the amp and fired her up, all I could say was Awesome! It sounded great! Thank you so much to Brian at BFG. He did a fantastic job on the amp. The lower mids are shifted a bit more towards the EVH Blue CH. and the EL84s are stock. I think some JJ EL84s will open it up a bit more and give it a less congested tone.

Gear Used:
Jet City JCA22H w/ BFG Sexual Chocolate Mod - Overdrive CH. Stock power tubes. All JJ preamp tubes.
Mesa Boogie Recto 2x12 Cab with Scumback M75 speakers
Fender RI Telecaster Deluxe with stock pickups
Boosted by a GMD Luther Pedal

Recorded with a single Shure SM57 directly into an Edirol UA25 interface using Sonar LE
No compression or effects used.

Killer... I have a BFG double duce mod with a depth control added and man does it sound good. Brian is awesome great guy to work with and can taylor to your needs with the best of em. Congrats and enjoy...

Nice job on the clip. This turned out to be a really great sounding mod, so much so that I'm going to tweak it some more and put it in an el34 based amp. Robbie was great to deal with too...have fun with the amp.
