Which L500 come stock on the Washburn N2/N4 series of guitars? I don't care to get into the Bill & Becky debate... just want to know which pickup come on the Nuno guitars... as I really dig that pup. Thanks!

BL USA I believe. FWIW, I had a B&B L500XL and it was 'eh ok'.. Nothing special. Replaced it with a Duncan Distortion.

My g/f's Washnurn N61 Came with the BL USA..
It rips..

The B&B model is on some, but the USA model is on others. Which is better is up for debate. I like the B&B myself.

The XL model is the model Nuno has/is using.

One source of confusion is that the 500XL was at one point called the 500L. So when someone says Nuno used the 500L, it's that, when Nuno started using them, it was called the500L, later someone requested a lower output version of the pickup, the 500L was renamed to 500XL, and 500L became the lower output model.

try a bare knuckle cold sweat
it's like a 500 without the spikey highs and with a crunchier and fatter midrange
much more organic and thicker sounding, but with a similar bright and sharp hard rock vibe

I actually think the L500 is a great sounding pickup. Although I do appreciate the recommendation. ;)

Thanks for the help guys! I wish the N4s didn't cost so much, because I'd love to pick one up... but I can't justify the sticker price for a "stripped down" guitar. I'm thinking that I'm just gonna build one from Warmoth eventually.

I've got a couple BL USA 500XLs laying around if you're interested. They're used but it's better than paying full price
