Cool , he is playing Atlantic city again. Gonna check him out, saw him a few yrs back and was a great show. I really liked the last record a lot .

Missing Phoenix, who can blame him. I had been scheduled to see him at the Palms a few years ago but got sick and had to pay my buddy for the ticket.
This will be closer for me than Temecula, San Diego. Hopefully Josie can get me on the VIP list and some tix as happened in 2011 at the Phoenix Fairground gig!!  :)
My buddy lives in Henderson so I won't have to pay the exorbitant hotel rates.
Steve's live sound when I saw him with the Marsha. the CAE head and his latest rack with the Scumback Ray Gun cabs was killer back in '11.
I had been offered a stage tour but as it was at the Arizona State Fairgrounds venue there was no curtain and the band didn't arrive at the venue until one hour prior to the show. Still I managed to get backstage right before the start of the show, meet Steve and Josie, show him my 1993 Washburn SS 80 purple quilt top, birds eye maple cap neck geetar.
He couldn't believe it was in brand new condition, NOS hung on a wall since 1993. It was built for Steve but he didn't stick around long enough to receive the guitar as also happened with the Barbarella SS80 painted by the great Jim O'Connor, in fact Steve never knew all these years that Washburn had gone ahead and built it with it's internal ray gun circuits. Steve joined Gear Page just to ask me about it!! Actually I had a chance to buy all three NOS Washburns owned by Rudy Schlager the CEO of St. Louis Music and Washburn, but could only afford the Purple Quilt.
I know I ended up with the best guitar though, it has a gold Gotoh stock, the only Washburn so equipped in 1993. Steve loved the guitar, held it but would not play it as is his policy with the Hamers and the Washburns. Plus we got to spend time with Steve backstage after the gig and he signed all my gear, a super nice great guy who is always there for his fans especially us OF's (Original Fans)!!
Please read my tribute/history of the amazing Washburn's a labor of love and CSI in nature concerning my research. Finished that article in 2010 and the views since then are 370151, wish I had a nickel for each view

Rock on Stevens and Idol fans see you at the gig!

Exorbitant hotel rates? Vegas hotels are CHEAP!

I'd check them out if they were coming anywhere close to Seattle, but they aren't :(

That sucks ....

I've seen Steve & Billy at Pechanga Casino in Temecula, Ca before. Great Venue and show. I'll probably try to see them there.

I'm in for the Atlanta show. He is playing at a 2000 seat venue called the Tabernacle. Best small venue I've been to yet. Also seeing Steel Panther there in 3 weeks.

I've seen Idol and Steve about four times in Reno at similar size venue ~2800. They crush it and the crowd is always super enthusiastic and adoring of them. Lots of energy.

I might try to see them at the Saratoga Winery in Saratoga, CA on May 26th.

Saw the first show of the tour last night in Vegas. Pretty effing awesome! Steve and Billy were on. We were right on the stage!!

I'll post more pics and a few clips later. But I did get to meet Steve.

Steve Stevens isn't just another famous rock guitar god. For me he is one of the foremost if not THE paramount influence on my style for rhythm and lead comps and improvisation. He has the perfect sound, chops, taste, fire and restraint yet always plays with the ultimate passion and confiction for the song and singer. This was teenage dream moment come true. Yep, 50 still going on 15 I am.

Steve was very nice and it was easy to talk to him because we grew up near each other and saw the rise and decline of the NY music and gear scene, talked about our amps and gear, etc. Josie was a doll...super sweet, organized and got my woman a photographer pass so she was in the pit taking pics. Billy and Steve were right on her and seriously, Billy Idol just reached his hand out to her and was singing a few choruses right to her eyes. IT WAS THE GREATEST!!!!
