Congrats!! For some reason I thought you had one already.

I've had 4 and still have 3 QR's.
Have been Fractal lately, for ease of use and travel, yet still use the QR models in the Fractal :D

Always have had a really great tone and I have other I like amps as well.
You won't be disappointed...Scott is great to work with as well.

Pic's please

I had a Quick Rod back around 2005, and a Competition about 2-3 years ago.

Deposit sent this AM. Shoulda done this a long fucking time ago.

What speakers are you gonna be using ?

4x12 w/UK Greenbacks.

That should work great . I use Greenbacks in a Splawn 2x12 with my EL34 Super Sport and it sounds killer. I’m so close to ordering 4 more for my 4x12

I have a KT88 promod and a KT88 nitro. The guts are flawless. Mine are around 2008ish IIRC. They are beasts. Never had a problem other than you have to rebias them more often than others I have had. But it's worth it.

What do you mean, bias drift?

All tubes drift over time.
Don't worry about it.

He's just saying it is more challenging to adjust because there are no external bias test or adjustment points and it is a fixed bias amp. I wrote a detailed tutorial on how to bias a Quick Rod if you ever need it - but helpful for any fixed bias amp where you have to take out the chassis and do shit while the amp is running. You've had Splawns before so you should know the drill.

I biased the Competition I had. Piece of cake.

Did that studio Marshall thing go away?
I've had 2 QRs. Liked the 2009 with Heyboers better than the 2015 I had. Recently picked up a Super Comp mini that's pretty cool too.
Good luck with the new QR!

Yeah, the Studio Vintage 20 faded fast. It was stupid loud, and sounded like shit through my Power Station 2. I suspected it was the effects loop, but it didn't gel using the Fryette's loop either. Something about it seemed "off". I thought it had potential, but not angry enough sounding and too flabby.

The quickrods are badass ! I have a 50W with the mid shift toggle and new/old switch. Right now it has EL34’s in it, but I am about to change up the bias resistor so I can add either KT88’s or 6550’s . I’ve just always preferred big bottle tubes.

Well heck I`ll display mine also . Mine are actually EL34 Super Sports

I ordered this 2018 fully loaded QR from Scott a little over a year ago. Sounds killer through my greenie loaded Marshall 412. It’s not quite as agressive as some old QR’s I’v played but very versatile. No problems with it so far but it’s not moved much from my practice room.
