BKP H/S/S sets?

Who's using what? Got a poplar Strat copy coming in, and I'm torn on what to use...talked to Ben French the other day and he suggested a few things, but I want the RT nation's input here.

What are you guys using from BKP in your strats?

I'd like primarily to use this for both metal on the bridge and Gilmour type lead stuff on the neck, with a 6505+ thru and Orange 2x12, with one of the little Fortin Diavlo 5 watters coming in when they're available.

I've played one the BKP VHII & Irish Tour sets..sounded really cool..that was a while ago.
I remember I liked the sound of those pups.

They've got a variety of pups for that configuration, I'd email TIm at BKP and he'll give you a couple good options based on the style of music you play and type of rig. I think they had them all online with samples but I can't be certain.

Agreed with the above; tim@barekncuklepickups.co.uk and let him know what you're looking for tonewise, what the guitar's woods are, and he'll hook you up.

Them VHIIs are sick pups. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than just VH tones.

For years I have had an aversion to DiMarzio pickups, for some reason. I just never cared for them, but I just recently had a chance to try the Crunch Lab / Liquifire combination in my 70's partscaster. WOW, I was extremely suprised. If you are not absolutley committed to using BKP's, you might consider trying these pickups in your strat.

I have an 80's ST3 BC Rich redone with BK Holy Diver and Irish tours defiantly brought the guitar to life also added the BK capacitor on the tone pot.

Right on, thanks fellas...so far I'm thinking a Mule for the bridge and Irish Tours for the singles...checked out some vids and I'm not too enamored with the VHIIs; too much on the top end, and I think it'd be too bright for this guitar.

@Outlaw; I'm where you were before, not a fan of DiMarzios at all...they seem pretty sterile compared to the BKPs I've tried. I've got a Holydiver set in my GT LP, and the clarity and sustain is unreal, so I wanted to give the single coils a shot, but I'll keep that set in mind if these don't work out.
