I was demoing a few amps at my local GC. A 5150 Iconic, a 6505, a Mark V 35, a Silver jubilee and the Blackstar St James 6l6. I was quite smitten with how the Blackstar sounded. 2 channels, 3 modes and all were quite useable. It also weighs less than a bag of groceries.
Does anyone have the St James? What are your thoughts? I’ve also heard that Blackstar amps are prone to breaking and hard to repair. Can anyone chime in on this? I liked the amp, but if its going to fall apart, should I even bother?
