Really leaning towards one of these and wondered if I can plug it into my old 5150 412 cab? The whole ohms thing confuses me to no end.

From their website:

Speaker Outputs
The output marked ‘1x16 Ohm’ is for the connection of a single 16 Ohm extension
speaker cabinet (or the internal loudspeaker of the HT-5 combo).
The outputs marked ‘1x8 Ohm or 2x16 Ohm’ are for the connection of either a single
8 Ohm extension cabinet or two 16 Ohm cabinets. Also, the internal loudspeaker of
the HT-5 combo can be plugged in here if it is used with a 16 Ohm extension cabinet.
WARNING: The output marked ‘1x16 Ohm’ should never be used at the same time
as either of the outputs marked ‘1x8 Ohm or 2x16 Ohm’.

Yes, you can. I believe the 5150 cab is 16 ohm, so you plug a speaker cable from teh amp's 16 ohm out into the cab. What's confusing you in particular?

Pretty sure psychodave has a vid of him rippin it up on the ht-5 through a Marshall 412. Sounded killer too.

yup, I used one thru a 16 ohm 4x12. You can use one 16ohm cab in the 16ohm output. You could also use 2x16 ohm cabs or 1x8 ohm cab in the 8ohm output. It has 2 parallel jacks for the 8ohm output, just needs to see an 8ohm load at those jacks. ie. 2x 16ohm cabs in parallel = 8ohm. Sounds great thru a 4x12 btw.

I used to use my HT-5 through a 4x12.

Whacked it up full, stuck a mic in front of it and

Thanks guys... I just ordered a HT-5 Head this AM, just wanted to make sure it would work with my cab before I bought it. Can't wait!
