After hearing Mark A ( Rockstah's) clips, which are always inspiring and full of energy/passion, i dug up an ol' jam of us going nuts on a backing progression Mark crafted up..Mark is so deadly on this, it made my head spin when i first heard it! check it out! Mark starts the soloing, then i come in and so on....

we need more of this collaboration on rig talk! Ed D was good sponsor for it.

Well you both have great vibrato so props to that.. Rocstah's tone seems a little cleaner but both of you did a great job. I hear tons of Yngwie in there though! And people say he isn't influential....

the longer I remain a member here at Rigtalk...the more I realize just how much my guitar playing SUCKS!!!! ......after listening to this...i quit......LOL.....great stuff !

Awesome vibratos and killer right hand picking!

Great stuff Ant

Now get that solo disk out.

Wow guys, that was fantastic, love how you kept it inspiring/interesting, great playing.

i'm always saying you and curt and mark K are by far my favorite players on here, and mark A crushes it too on this track. his tone was a bit POD'ish though, but i know he can just drill VH tone spot on and his phrasing is edward van cloneski!

funny, your tone is like what yngwie should sound like now, and mark/rockstah is what eddie should sound like...you guys nailed the best tones of theirs and continue to refine it. yngwie never had tone that good on any of his albums and i'm dead serious, and your playing is so much more interesting that his is now it's not even funny. you sound like young hungry YJM evolving, not self produced phoned in old rehash licks with tone that wreaks of tinnitus.

this clip, mark K.'s demos of the songs that he did for the last sacred rite cd before the other band members came in and changed the vibe with their "contributions", and the bstaley/alex flouros "scarified" track, and alex's nuno cover of get the funk out are my favorite forum clips of all time. alex used to crush!

again,
there should be a rig talk compilation cd made but the hard part is deciding who gets on it. submissions could be voted on anonymously and let the people decide on like top 15 and then have michael wagner finalize the top 8-10.....so there is like a little bit of real producer truth to the deal and not just fan boy nonsense or moderator muscle behind decisions.

oops i think i made a mistake...
you said mark started the solo on that clip?

if that's so then he's got the deadly yngwie tone and phrasing on that one, and you have more of the POD tone (but still rip) :D

so that also means mark can nail early eddie and early yngwie tone and playing!!!!

"he built this city on rock and roll" probably never sounded so good!

pat! tonemaster extraordinare. Mark is soloing out right out of the shoot from 0.00 - 016 then i punch in 16- 31 and we go at it from there. i believe he's playing through a line 6 tone port pod which doesnt matter cause he's a such a greatplayer, im playing through a non-master 74 marshall dimed stock with a grey dod overdrive ..but with a thick blanket cover over the my cab which i was experimenting at the time with a sm57 stashed inside at the time. not really happy with it too muffled . im sloppy as hell, but was really goin for the spirit of jamming with no other intentions with some vibrant energy. : )

thanks dudes, collaborative jams are fun and meant to be spontaneous which this was. appreciate the cool comments!

Very cool "wankfest"...you guys were definitely bringing it!!! Although anything less than a 16th note needn't apply for this jam, there was still some really cool phrasing...more proof that shredding can still have feeling IMO. Nice playing all around

Cool Anthony! Sounds like some Shrapnel type stuff. I'm thinking you guys covered all the notes possible. :)

This was killer! I agree with Ant, I would love to see more collaborative clips here on the forum. I love to listen to them and be a part of some.
