Ok so its been a while , I would imagine a few guys on here have tried one and possibly used it live with a band ...my question in the other thread about the 3534 was overlooked because that one turned into a shit show like several other threads unfortunately , lol. I just wanna talk gear if possible. My post was :

I wanna grab one of these, kinda on the fence though. Some guys say it sounds BIG like a 50w , other say it doesn't really have balls like that. Im wondering if it could hold up in a band with two guitar players and a loud drummer ?

I don't expect it to kick like a 100w head but something like the 50w EVH heads seem to do pretty well with a full band in a live situation. Im wondering if this amp has that kind of headroom. :)

Most clips I've heard are through the onyx...so I get your question. I'm guessing 35w is plenty loud. I wish wish wish this head had a modern feature like line out/bypass a cabinet/load thing going on like so many other newer designs...

I've had mine for 2.5 weeks now. To answer your questions, 35w is plenty loud. One thing concerning volume on the 3534 is the FX loop level. The FX loop can be noisy if not carefully adjusted. There is some interaction in the master volume/return level so that can limit the overall loudness. Either way, it has plenty enough volume for any medium size venue. I don't know if it would fill a stadium with a 4x12 but someone who tours large venues could answer that.

It's very full, very punchy, and I seriously doubt anyone can tell the difference between it and a 50w amp as far as bigness or fullness and low end is concerned. It has a LOT of balls man. If your drummer is heavy-handed, I doubt he'll be able to drown out a 3534 without breaking something on his drum set. It has a lot of clean headroom. It's super versatile.
