No. But I just lined 3 sides of my Mojo 4x12 with Dacron batting and it improved pretty dramatically IMO. And that's not the first time I've had success using insulation/batting.

I think it was something about high quality cables suck, and highly researched / engineered cabinet designs being crap, so the type of wood used for guitar construction must not matter either.

This is a very laymans, simplistic explanation, but the foam batting (white crap) is designed to eliminate conflicting soundwaves inside the cab, and "trick" the speakers into thinking they're in a larger enclosure. Usually, the foam batting adds nothing but good things, and eliminates problem frequencies.

I'll tell you what was NOT engineered: the design of an original 412 cab. Marshall just made a box big enough to fit 4 speakers!
