Hi all,
New to the forum, and new to Bogner.
After seeing the videos and pre-reviews of the Atma I just knew this was the one. After a much anticipating wait the Amp finally arrived. Yesterday was the first time I got to play it (i have no cab so had to contact a friend who has a garage basicly filled with amps). Nervously I plugged it in to one of his 2x12 cabs, but that nervous feeling was thrown out of the window as soon as the guitar started to sing. It was a quick run though, mostly making sure everything worked as it should, but I couldnt help my self from smiling when I drove home.
Today I got to play it again, for several hours and man this is a little beast of an amp. I usually get verry sceptical when I read reviews where people says an amp or a guitar can do everything, but this one gets verry close to getting one of those lines. The only thing it might not do is hardcore doom metal or something (i dont know cause I dont play that). Other then that I just have to say that the videos out there is a good reference. Well of course something recorded might/gets processed after, but this one sure sounds verry close IRL.
And it is loud, 18w and when the volume knob is at 3-4 it´s starting to get to loud for my ears. So what about the sounds? Well as mentioned before, the videos kinda says it all but some quick reflections.
1. Clean
Fantastic clean sound, everything from warm, smoth and fat to twangy country. Havent figured out how to break the clean to get that nice dirty blues "clean" yet though, but then again clean isnt where I have put most of the time yet.
2. Crunch
Played mostly with the sound switch set to 70 or 80, 60's is probably great for those who just dont need much gain. At 70 you get great blues and classic rock, and in any shape you want. The EQ is verry responsive and it happens quite lot when you turn the knobs. At 80 (which I found to be my favourite when not playing with a band), the volume drops a bit, but what great distortion. It goes from "harsh british" to "tight american" and anything in between. I kinda like a sound that is in between the classic "brown" and tight modern, especially when playing without a band, and it does that so good.
3. Solo
Well as mentioned above, not played with a band yet so not much to say about it. It basicly boosts the crunch in gain and volume, and you can set the difference in gain on the back.
I could go on and on with praise, but then you would not believe it anyway. I finish this post with a comment my friend did. Just so you know, my friend rebuild amps, so he knows his stuff "Well you can hear that there have gone some seriouse work in to this amp" that is a good grade
These are my first impressions, everything is subjective, but for now I am a happy customer, yea would have loved a gig-bag but I hope the Orange Terror case will fit

My dilemma now is what cab to get, Goldfinger 2x12 with greenback and GH12-30 is at the top of the list atm.
My style of playing is mostly rock. Van-Halen, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Crows and so forth. Favourite guitarists, Jimmy Page, Steve Stevens, Eddie, Edge
