I'm going to buy myself a Fender Tweed clone for playing blues at home. The Bogner Blue seems very cool!

Or do you have any other suggestions?

Also would a El Capistan work well in front of a Tweed?

An El Cap will work great in front of a tweed amp...I use mine all the time with a '68 Deluxe Reverb that's had it's first channel "tweeded".
I never tried a Bogner Blue, but a Tweed clone will sound good with just about any overdrive you throw in front of it. A few that I think match up very well are the Timmy, the old Rat pedal (I've never used a new/reissue model), and any number of Tubescreamer clones (or the real thing).
