Just picked up a 2004 Bogner Ecstasy Classic this past Saturday for $2600. I really like this one better than the 101b I had. Especially since this on cost $1400 less than the one I returned to GC.  Also Im actually liking it a bit better than the SigX now that I've had some time with it. Over all to my ear this one has a more raw Marshall growl than the 101b and the SigX. Feel wise the SigX had more a of classic feel where the Bogner has squishier feel but still cuts well, there was just something with the VHT's while I liked it alot and think its a great switcher of what it did and how it felt, it just wasnt me. im with Chris on this in that I liked the Deliverance better than the Sig. The clean channel on the Ecstasy Classic is pretty good and on par with the Shiva. I really like the blue channel alot. It has a bit more classic feel and not a squishy as the Red and in plexi mod this thing takes pedals really well and has nice classic crunch. For solos and heavier rhythm Im really liking the tone and feel of the Red. The
red has a bit more low mids and low end than the Blue so its more modern sounding to me. I read that some say the Classics dont have enough gain but again I never understand some people and the amount of gain they think they need. This amp has plenty.

Over all Im liking this amp alot with my American Deluxe Strat with the Dimarzio Tone Zone S in the bridge. Im thinking the Bogner tone is more my thing. The Shiva lasted a pretty good while for me. So im going to try and stick with this one ince I like it alot and it works for me andIm so tired of getting amps from some of these small builders that just not sound much better than lot out there. Bogner as been around a good while and I know I have a good amp so it would be really stupid for me not to stop all this and focus on being a better player. Also Im getting ready to have a house payment that I need to pay off and get back out of debt so I really wont have the means to playing around getting amps and selling them like I did. Hopefully the low "play money" cash flow will keep the gas at a minimum....... so here's to hanging on to this one. :D

Thats cool you have something you are happy with. The Blue channel was almost there for me on the 101. Almost had the Classic mod done to it. i was hoping the Blue channel would get me close to what I heard in the Wizard stuff, which was unavailable at the time....I didnt like the feel personally. It was a hard amp for me to play on. Like trying to run while underwater

Shiva is a bit better tone and feel for me, but too ratty.

Congrats on the amp!

House almost done?

Nice, Ejecta!

The Classic is way better feel (in my opinion) than the 101B - Better tone as well.
It cuts better, feels better and is just more raw like an older Marshall. The 101B's are so compressed and blunt ...
The Classic is the definite "King" of Bogners- for me.

Now... The original 100B is the KING of all Bogners - ever, but just by a hair.

congrats, i love the classic when i played it, i would love to own one someday.

Yep should be moving in in a couple of weeks. Its tying up all the loose ends and trying to get all the finishers in to do their job. That can be a juggling act. Cant wait to get the studio all set up! My brother is putting his 68 set of psychadelic red Ludwigs in the studio and his Ampeg SVT bass rig. Ive got al lthe recording stuff coverd so should be a great place for my buds to come over and drink some cold ones and jam.

Cool...sounds like fun! No close neighbors hopefully :) The one drummer I play with has a set of old Ludwig clear plexiglass looking drums, each one is a different color. They sound great, surprised me!

  No I live in the sticks so no neighbors but I have a huge yard to have to mow. Yeah those Vistalites sound great. My brother got these Lugwigs by trading a guy in Nashville who wanted a scooter. The psychadelic reds were only made for a few years so they are pretty collectable. I'll post some pics when I get the studio set up.

Just have a big lawn garden! I bet those drums do sound good. Sounds like the critters will be happy. :)
