So I just got back from a mates house & I tried his Helios cabinet. It obviously sounded great with various Bogners (Ecstasy, Shiva), but also a Bad Cat & a Fryette.
Finally this cabinet absolutely killed it with a Friedman BE100. Made me think I should find out a little more about it. Sweetwater tells me it has 2 Celestion GB25's (in the 2 top positions I believe??) and also 2 x v30's in the bottom.

Really keen to find out more & hear any feedback about the Helios cabinet. What's your experience??

The layout of speakers is exactly the same as the Friedman 4x12 cab. I'd expect the build quality of the Friedman and Bogner cabs to be on par, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they sounded similar.

I use a Bogner 412 straight cab which sounds killer with all V30s. If all Bogner has done is switch two speaks, you'll have a great cab.

Yeah we had a Friedman cab there, & they're all great cabs. But the Bogner just seemed to have something extra - maybe more presence, more bottom end, more bite?
If I had to choose, right now I'd go with the Bogner

Dave F told me -
"Bogner cabs have the bating on the panel of the cab. It's a dryer tone."

Thanks for the info Dave!
