Made some quick clips of this Bogner modded Traynor.

Charvel with a Duncan Custom. No pedals other than a wah. Marshall 1960a with G12-65s. Can hear my kids yelling at me so the clips are pretty sloppy.

I really need to work on Bleed the Freak. All of it’s terrible and I was screwing up all over the place. But you can hear how the amp sounds and cleans up with the volume knob.

Dig it! Sounds chewy and mean without being too fizzy and too gainy. Those are great mod platforms. I had an old YBA-1 I did some mods too... sounded huge. That big iron in there and old caps make for some special tone if you dial it in properly.

Thanks man. Really happy with how the amp sounds. I can definitely understand how his talent launched a pretty major amp company.

And this amp has a lot of gain available. This is with the gain are 4.5; TMB is 3/3/2. Presence at 5. Both mini switches up.

By playing must be worse than I thought. I figured a Bogner-modded Marshall clone would get a lot of interest here.

Had a chance to play with it some more. At lower gain settings, the impact extra switches is more pronounced. The one nearest the treble knob seems like a traditional bright switch. Up has a bit more top end than down. The switch nearest the gain knob is harder to describe. Switched up, it adds gain and aggression. It’s brighter, yes, but the voicing change is more dramatic. Angrier and a bit tighter. Switched down, it’s smoother with a bit less gain.

But the amp has so much available preamp gain, you don’t need to worry about that. You can put the switch where ever you want for the voicing and adjust the preamp gain to taste.

Sounds good man! I must have missed this post....it does have a nice lower mid growl to it, definitely sounds like a Bogner.....
