Bogner red and blue pedals settings thread.

I just got a bogner red pedal for my birthday. I think are enough options for a settings thread, so here it is. Please post your favorite red or blue settings. If you have uber pedal, chime in as well. Please mention the pedal you have for the settings.

Obviously, this will vary depending on which amplifier you are using and how the clean is set up. With my clean ch set as neutral and clean as possible (NO dirt), these are are some of my Red settings:


Volume = Noon
Treble = 1-2:00
Mids = 2-3:00
Bass= usually around 1-2:00 *this sometimes has to be cut back to retain tightness, especially in the following settings-101b structure/B1 mode which adds bottom end/Full Mode.

My overall fav setting is 100 structure/N (neutral) pre-EQ/ mellow or tight mode. Usually keep gain around 2:00 and set up my boost to add a touch of gain and volume.

These settings are pretty consistent when switching between the different amps I use.

Most important thing to remember is the Red HATES being plugged into a dirty channel. Even a little "hair" is no good; makes it sound awful and introduces the noise that some people complain about. Keep it clean and there is no noise to speak of

Like glassjaw7 said, it will vary with your clean channel setting. I typically dial in my clean channel to sound best with my neck pickup split, or if it's not splittable, I just use my neck pickup in humbucking mode. Doing that I found it pretty easy to dial in the Red with my bridge pickup. Also, don't be afraid to slap a TS or another boost of sorts in front of it. It boost extremely well. I'm amazed how amp like this pedal is. Anyway...

Here's a setting I liked in the room. It's not too far of from glassjaw7's either haha:
Variac: Off
Mode: Tight
Pre Eq: b2
Structure: 100
Boost: Off

Volume: 12:00
Treble: 1:00
Mids: 1-2:00
Bass: 1:00
Gain: 1-2:00

Here's a setting I liked a lot when I did a clip with it:
Variac: On
Mode: Tight
Pre Eq: b2
Structure: 20th
Boost: Off

Volume: 2:00
Treble: 1:00
Mids: 3:00
Bass: 10:00
Gain: 1-2:00

I honestly think that the red is a great dirt pedal. So far, how do you like yours ? I like the plexi hot rodded thing.. gives it some sizzle.. sizzle is always cool

Really liking is so far. Still in the fiddling with the settings stage. I love how responsive and big sounding it is. It has a very full range response. The first dirt pedal that I tried that had that full response was the barber dirty bomb and the bogner sounds even fuller by comparison. It makes a number of my other pedals sound a bit thin and narrow. I think a few pedals will be on the chopping block soon.

A couple of months in an I'm still really luvin' the Red pedal! I posted an audio clip for this original a few weeks back but I've since tweaked some settings, re-recorded and also tracked video as well. The crunch rhythms here are the Cameron modded amp, the lead tone is the pedal (into the same amp set clean).

Not that it matters much 'cause as mentioned, still have to factor in your other gear/amps and what not, but the Bogner settings were:

Vol/Boost 12:00
Treb 12:00
Mid 11:00
Bass 2:00
Gain Full

Variac off
Mode Mellow
Pre Eq N
Sructure 100
