I just got mine with my new American standard are you guys running it in front of the amp?

Yes, it is designed to go into the clean channel, but it can sound great into the fx return too. Front of amp is best though.

Cool thanks!

Curious why you guys would be thinking of running it in the FX loop? What would you do for clean tones?

In the FX loop the pedal acts as preamp.. makes perfect sense. Coming out to a gig with a 5150 in stage, i'd never run it through the clean channel, cause it's not adding anything good. Straight through the loop.
If you'd get a Hiwatt or something cool, then i'd totally take it through the input.

For clean... roll of the vol. knob on the neck and use the pickup selector.

I dont know about that. I'm using a 5150 with a couple of dirt pedals into the front of the clean channel and it sounds great. Right now I have a Carl Martin AC Tone and Plexi Tone, Wampler Pinnacle, and Bogner Red.

I can see using a clean boost in the loop but not a distortion pedal...

I'd never use it in the loop, but you could run it straight into the FX loop return but not the send. That way it just acts like the preamp of the amp.

I'm using the red out front into an Electra Dyne and it ROCKS.
