did this quick vid to show that the twin jets cleans are deff do-able without the mod.

i have a boss chorus and delay on in the loop and im playing an esp urban camo m2 with the EMG 60 on in the neck in D standard

i dont really play clean/chord stuff alot so i mess up alot so have mercy :D this is a little simple ballad thing i came up with

 Me likey.

Not quite Halo cleans, but that's hardly typical.

thats plenty clean enough, ive been mulling over a twin jet,and you just made it harder on me

just do it you wont be disapointed

although it does take some time to dial in the right sounds with tis thing imo..... thers alot of tricks to working some things on this amp

I like the Amon Amarth banner swayin in the breeze  Oh, and the cleans sound nice. Is the the TJ not meant for cleans or someshit? I thought it was like a 2 channel overdrive only thing?

I think the real trick with cleans on some amps is to get a guitar that has a split coil tap or out of phase switch or both on the pickup. I've heard amp's that had OK cleans just come alive because of the pickup config.

All the best!

Hmmmm. That sounds pretty good. I have a TJ with the clean channel mod, and I haven't managed to get a clean tone anywhere near that (of course, I spent all of 2 minutes trying to do so...its hard to get away from the 2 mondo-gain channels).

Will you share your settings and did you back off the guitar's volume?

yea its really not meant to get nice cleans, and when i first got the amp i thought cleans were totally impossible on this thing, but there really are alot of tricks to working out some sweet tones in this amp, after sitting with this thing and tweaking the shit out of it i worked out every possible prob ive had with this amp

out of all my guitars only 2 of them sound nice with my clean settings, i was twisting knobs for like 3 months to get a sweet clean tone on this amp and i finally landed on something i can settle with....thers still a shitload of amps with better cleans but i can get by with these

i dont back off the volume at all but i have lowered my pickup height on my neck pickups though, i find the EMG's to be a little more sensative to how far away they are from the strings, and the result is less clipping and breakup on the clean sounds......but yea most of my time spent on this amp are with the high gain settings, every now and than i do like to hear some sweet cleans thou

these are my clean settings for ch1, when i run the gain high i tweak the ch vol and mids a little bit but for the clean sounds this is pretty much it

keep in mind i used a delay and chorus to sweeten up the clean sound a bit. the cleans really benefit from effects in the loop. i go back and forth between a boss flanger and chorus on my clean sounds. both add that nice dreamy effect to the sounds.....but i ALWAYS run a delay, i think it adds a nice layering effect...i can post pics of my pedals settings too if you want

these are my settings for the 2nd channel, if you wanna be absolutely
pummeled with brootz try these out. ther a bit on the insane side but i love getting the amp nice and pissed off sounding, it is an uberschall after all

i also recomend changing the preamp tubes in the amp, the stock ones that came with it dont do the amp justice at all, they are very microphonic on the cleans especially and make the amp sound thin. i put tung sols in v1-v5 and a lps in the phase inverter and it sounds crushing and much bolder now....i had tung sols in all of the positions but i find the lps in the PI to keep the amp smoother and a bit more responsive

thanks dude

yea i know what your talkin about, having all those options on guitar come in very usefull when you hit a wall with setting up an amp, plus that stuff is alot of fun to mess around with.

i played an anderson that had all of that stuf not too long ago and it was awesome, i had total tweakable control of my sound from the guitar alone....

i cant do any of that cool stuff however, only cuz i play EMG's on all my guitars :(

thanks dude

would be nice if i could play it a little cleaner
