Well, people seemed to get some use from the Recto clips, so figured I'd toss this up as well. Probably not as interesting (or well recorded) overall, but I do enjoy the amp.

This is a Bogner Uberschall (Original/Rev 1), the earliest model that came before Rev 2. As with the Recto clips, it's the same riff with completely raw guitars - no boosts, no EQ, no random editing or trickery. The goal is to hear the amp exactly as-is: guitar -> shitty playing -> amp. That's it... :D

There's 4 quick clips here, about 2 minutes total. The clips are broken up as:

Darker clip
Brighter clip (treble pushed about 1-1.5 higher)
Darker + Brighter clip
Darker + Mesa Recto Rev F (because why not?)

I listened with the crappy Mac speakers at first and thought the low mids were excessive, then switched to headphones and liked it.

Close but i prefer the Darker + Brighter Uber mix in this, sounds great!

I actually prefer the quad tracked Uber clip too. Clip was with EMGs, probably should have grabbed a 500T guitar instead. I much prefer that vs EMGs with the Diezel.

I've owned every version of the Uber (some more then once!) and am convinced that the original release version remains the very best. They were definitely the biggest sounding. I always liked putting a 5751 in V1 just to knock down the gain a little bit... I still own serial / sign 015 - the amp RT and Uberschall Legend Steve K pronounced as the very best he had heard...

I've had quite a few finding one that suits me, and this one has been the best of the lot for me. Oddly enough, I've preferred the originals as well in general. Seems a lot of tweaking happened during that run. Rev 2s I've had were pretty consistent overall, but these seemed to differ from head to head. I usually keep the gain at 9:30 to 10:00 on it.

I owned the first version 046.

I now own Rev2 183. I like it with a pedal out front.

That's damn close to a first version. I had an original that was in the 160s or 170s if memory serves me right. This one is low 150s (don't remember the exact serial, would have to look). I need to try the VFEs with it. Only used them with the Marshalls so far.

I like the tone on those clips! Ive had a ton of Bogners, but never an Uber.
Hmmm....research mode engaged.

Which Uber would blend well with a Helios?

Sounds huge! I prefer the clip of the Uber and Recto blended. Those two amps compliment each other perfectly.

Has anyone seen an original it supposedly was 2 6550`s. They were the prototypes only 2-3 were made like that.
