Bogner Uberschall rev. 2 vs FJA 6505+

Well, not a long time ago I've acquired Uberschall rev. "green" (rev. 2).
Also I have FJA modded peavey 6505+ (full metal mod, heyboer ot and mercury choke). I do like the sound of this head. But Uberschall has such a great thing of its own.
I have to leave only 1 amp to blend with my beloved 2 ch. rev. F Mesa Dual Rectifier.

What would you choose to blend with old rev. f DR? Why?

5150 and mesa being blended is a timely classic. The 5150 is also a swiss army knife of tonal capabilities. The bogner is more of a one trick pony. It either does all out or more JCM 800 hotrodded tones - that is about it. It also needs a good amount of room to breath. It does not bring the goods until you start to crank the volume. 5150's are no different to be honest.

I also own a mesa and a 5150 II. I can definitely relate to your choice, as the bogner does something that the 5150 II definitely can't. However if push came to shove I'd keep a 5150 for its versatility to blend with the rev F.

I don't think mesa mark can substitute 5150 or uber sound. I like them more than mark series.
And surely rubics cube is cheaper alternative.

I'm happy with my current stock. Incoming on a new Helios to top off that "gotta have a Marshall, don't want a Marshall, better get it to sound modded, don't wanna mod it" sound. But otherwise? All tools for tone.

If I had to pick just one? Probably be the 20thX or VH4. Fortunately, I don't have to settle for just one.

Knowing what a bitch it is to get a quality Rev.2, I'd say hang onto the one you've got - they're not making them anymore, and they're seemingly in demand. I lucked out, I got a great one. But versatility sure as shit isn't its strong suit. If I needed versatility - it wouldn't be the Rev.2, but what it does do, it does in spades

The uberschall is the first Bogner I tried. Unfortunately never had Xtasy..
I had VH4 but sold it. Overall versatile amp. Obviously 3rd channel IS that footprint Diezel sound. But other channels did not impress me to justify keeping 4k amp just for 1 channel. Also I didn't like compressed nature of VH4. I kept Fryette CLX and 2204 jcm800 instead.

Speaking of Rev. 2 you're absolutely right. It was a hard thing to find. It seems to be very popular in states. Got it for 1700 in the very clean condition. I can not part with it...at least right now. 5150 is easier to find anytime any place.
