Bogner XTC Vid - Alice In Chains (We Die Young)

Rian asked me to record a clip playing some AiC. I have always loved this tune and thought it was a good opportunity to show off the Blue channel (Boost on). The thing I really like about the integrated Boost feature is that it stays really fat (doesn't thin out). I tried to replicate some of Cantrell's tone by staying relatively grungy and not as refined as my Night Ranger clip from yesterday (found here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=123641).

Either way, hope you like it. I am surprised how heavy this amp can get. Stays really crunchy on the Blue channel. It is cool that it can sound polite and refined yet produce tones like this too. The audio clip I think sounds a bit better but I recorded the vid since many men (Scott) love the smooth legs!

Killer tone and playing! blue channel with boost records great...makes me feel silly for stating I like the 101b blue over the 20th in you NAD post yesterday. Maybe I'm not listening reel close and the difference is in the feel

Killer Chad....I agree...the Tonefinder clip sounds better....I listen to Facelift almost everyday in my car, and love that guitar tone. Sounds pretty close to me. Especially the solo part trills.

I feel I must address these inquiries right now (nip it in the bud).

When I am not playing guitar I am a very avid runner and road cyclist. I shave my legs for a few reasons but mainly for ease when taking care of road rash. Cleaning those kinds of issues absolutely suck with leg hair. Just in case I get asked, no I don't visit Brazil (if you know what I mean).

Ya man, that 20thA is in my arsenal for life - I mean that. It's the sweetest most toneful amp I've ever had the pleasure of owning from the mind of Reinhold. I feel pretty lucky every time I switch standby to RUN.

Listened again, really AWESOME tone! Pretty damn close to the original! Sounds like you're one note off on the main riff though. That bend should be on the 6th fret. Sorry to be a dick

Yup...know all about shaving legs. Did bodybuilding shows as a teen. Lets just say that me and the Girlfriend at the time used to have smooth leg contests.
