Bogner XTC Vid - Alice In Chains (We Die Young)

As Chad mentions above - and I have to agree - the boost that comes within the amp is straight up tone ammunition. Great amp, great tone, and again - this clip kills. The 20th is a serious Swiss Army knife in the tones department.

And as for shaving due to road cycling, hell yeah. Road grit and body hair = infection in the case of a spill. Metrosexualism is clean; chicks dig it.

Killer tone and playing! blue channel with boost records great...makes me feel silly for stating I like the 101b blue over the 20th in you NAD post yesterday. Maybe I'm not listening reel close   and the difference is in the feel

Thanks! The Blue channel sounds very focused and thick. I like it a lot.

Killer Chad....I agree...the Tonefinder clip sounds better....I listen to Facelift almost everyday in my car, and love that guitar tone. Sounds pretty close to me. Especially the solo part trills.

Thank man...Love to try a Bogner someday.

That was for you brother! You would love the XTC.

I didn't realize you had a XTC. Sounds excellent. I have XTC gas ATM, oh wait a minute there's one in the corner. I realy digging my 100B ATM.

Just got it last weekend to try out. I am really liking it. Would love to try a 100b or Classic someday.

Forgive me if you posted this in your description but what is the gain set at for the video? I commented on Harmony Central as well, great playing man!

About 1:00 o'clock on the dial. Thanks! Love this tune and feel like it got pretty close in the room. Recorded tone came out great for this style.

Thanks Tom! I actually thought of you while recording it too. I can't just post "cheese dick" clips every time.

Do you shave your legs? Lol!
Hey, Bogner fanbois are an interesting bunch.

Dude!! AWESOME clippage and AWESOME tone!!

Ya man, that 20thA is in my arsenal for life - I mean that. It's the sweetest most toneful amp I've ever had the pleasure of owning from the mind of Reinhold. I feel pretty lucky every time I switch standby to RUN.

THANK YOU for posting this - make sure you double it up over in the Bogner subforum. It needs to be there.

Peace,
Mojo

I posted this in the subforum. I like how balanced and usable each channel is for my playing. Matches the OS 2x12 with V30s really well.

Listened again, really AWESOME tone! Pretty damn close to the original! Sounds like you're one note off on the main riff though. That bend should be on the 6th fret. ;) Sorry to be a dick

Thanks brother! No worries. I'm sure I don't play it just right. Close enough.

Many men are glad Chad is secure with himself enough to share his metrosexual grooming habits.

That was awesome Chad, bringing the heat

Lol! Like I said, I haven't gone to Brazil but I am pretty freaking close. The wife doesn't mind and that's all that matters.

You seriously need to post more clips! You are a great player. You seem to have backed off on the forum lately. Miss reading your posts.

Just listened to it again....man that amp sounds good.
Cant see how I have never owned a Bogner. :aww:
Thats a straight XTC or the 20th?
Yup...know all about shaving legs. Did bodybuilding shows as a teen. Lets just say that me and the Girlfriend at the time used to have smooth leg contests.

Great amp man. You got me interested now. :D

Yes, straight 20th. With all of the amps you've owned I'm surprised you haven't owned this one yet.

I actually like the shaved legs. Super comfortable.

The cool thing is the tone gets thicker instead of thinner yet still gives you the benefits of a good OD.

I have crashed several times and the smooth legs have saved me a lot of aggravation.

Oh how I miss the blue channel on my old Ecstasy Classic... sounds great man.

There are a ton of switching options and different tones at your feet. They're all top class tones at too. I love the Boost function too, fat.

I ordered mine with the Class A/AB switch. There's something pretty special about running ClassA.

Just sayin'

I had no idea that amp could sound like that......one of the closest I've ever heard to the tone in my head....nice playing too, fellow Utah guy.

The thing is my dessert island amp. You really oughta check it out if it's what's in yer head

And I gotta say it again - GREAT choice of song and groove to show of this side of the amp.

I know, eh? But seriously - if you followed my threads/posts over on the Diezel forum, you'll notice my tastes have gone from the hard hitting, surgically tight, uber percussive style amps; to a "greasier", more playful style amp. Now, the Hagen has sated this niche within the Diezel family. The VH4 has tone that is simply perfect. But the 20thA has SO many tone shaping adjustments, so much adjustability, so much everything, and man, I can play it for days and it can replicate SO many styles and genres - ya man - it's my desert island amp. The Diezels are more "niche tone" specific. And I love 'em.

But ya, 20thA is where I go when I think me and my ball "Wilson" on a beach

I just have to agree with what's been said already.

Nice tone and love the song choice. Still love playing AIC...currently we are rockin' Sea of Sorrow, changes every so often because there are so many excellent tunes to choose from :D

My question, are you rockin' the el34 version or the 6L6 version? I have had both and actually preferred the 6L6 in white tolex :rawk:

Fine playing BTW...

Great work! Love the tone and playing. Those are amazing amps!!!!

:)

I think I'd take a 20th X over any Diezel. And that's coming from a huge VH4 fan.
