Some of the guitars he's got on the road have values of $500k to a million dollars? OK then

Yeah, he's got some vintage stuff, that's for sure.

Call me skeptical, but I cannot imagine him dragging guitars of that value on a tour where they could get beat to death or, god forbid, stolen.....I call BS

Well they are one of the wealthiest bands on the planet. I doubt his gear really gets "banged up" at all with the money they spend on tech's and roadies. Not to mention the amount of security that goes along with the band. Not saying that he does actually tour with guitars that expensive but if he really wanted to I'm sure he could easily make it work. Plus if anyone can afford the insurance its him.

During transport, barring a major accident, those ultracase vaults are pretty damn secure...

He's got Friedman and Blackstar amps. Looks like a cool collection of guitars no matter what they are worth.

This. I think when you hit their level of wealth, you;'re not as concerned with a scratch. Its like when a guy has a Ferrari parked in any old spot at the grocery INSTAED of all the way in the back where no one will breath on it. The guy that parked close can actually afford the car AND the maintenance.

I have a friend that knows one of his guitar techs. He absolutely brings the rare guitars on every tour. Those things are locked up, sealed...ain't nothing or nobody getting to them.

If that's true, then I applaud him for playing guitars that deserve to be played. At least he's not keeping them behind glass in a case next to the 1926 Macallan single Malt...

I'm so glad he showed us where Jon's quick change area was. :jerkit:

Looks at Richie's stuff

I wish they had someone with knowledge doing the walkthrough - http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/video/a- ... 3040180001

This was on USA Today... they aren't going to show all the techy stuff that all us gear nerds are interested in... they showed exactly what the average middle aged woman wants to see... brief view of gear, stairs to the stage... and where he gets naked

Bon Jovi: "QUICK!!! Toss me another pair of freshly laundered, relaxed-fit leather pants NOW!!!! I've sweated through these because I did jumping jacks and other assorted on-stage calisthenics for the past 8 songs in a row."

I remember seeing a gear rundown with his tech for the have a nice day tour, and he had his 59 original les paul. Couple of other vids where he had 63 fender strats etc. he often has guitars shipped over from vintageandrare guitars in London if I remember right

You are correct

Noticed the blackstars on top of the guitar racks. Looks like the series one I think. Wonder if this was before or after he was taking a friedman out. Isn't he endorsing Blackstar now? He seems to change amp makers a lot.

My buddy Takumi is teching for Richie. Did the summer solo tour and is on the Bon Jovi tour now too. Think he was much happier on Richie's summer tour with just the Friedman BE's and a handful of guitars. Looks like a retail store back there!
