Boost in the loop

Last night had an idea. Has anyone boosted a superlead placing the boost in the jumper loop between channel 1 and 2 and the guitar straight into the top L input and mix the channels as normal? It makes it a parallel input verses a series connection.

Yeah, did this 30 years ago. Also used an EQ between jumping channels. Even tried using the echoplex, etc. It’s fun to tinker.
