I have a Mesa dual rectifier rack mount version the thing sounds awesome i use Schecter guitars with EMG 81 in the bridge and a 60 or 85 in the neck depending on the guitar I am using a Sennheiser ew 100 wireless ispdecimator pedal and a korg dtr1000. Can i put the tuner in the signal path or will that mess with my tone? Can i run the tuner another way? if I'm running the tuner in my signal path should I boost the signal or instead of running a boost should I put the EQ in the effects loop because what I would like to do is tighten and focus the sound of the rectifier

I like both..an EQ in the loop and an SD1 out front as a clean boost.

Dont put tuner in path. Run a side chain.
Boosting out front will tighten the tone up plently.
Using my 94 Blackface recto in a band right now. Sounds tight angry and huge!
Maxon OD808 for boost

Got a 10 band EQ in the loop of mine, and a built in boost. Dig it without the EQ, but sounds SO much better with just a slight V. I wish every amp I've ever had sounded this good. Tight, focused and saturated gain for days.

Ok alot of questions lol alot to process first what is the difference between clean boost and the maxon od808 and what is a "side chain" how is that done? Is an eq in the loop like a clean boost? What kind of eq if i go that route is the eq with the boost kind of overkill? Also if I run a rack fx unit in the loop for cleans and intros and stuff can I use the mesa to power it and switch to it like its another amp? Or should i shop around for an amp and run a wet dry rig?
