Bootyplug gets grilled about Electric Fantasyland

The elephant in the room is totally missed.... how long does the average electric vehicle last? What is its value after 10 years? What happens to the batteries once they are no longer able to provide power to the vehicle? I ask this because common sense tells me that the battery technology isn't good enough yet to provide long lasting batteries and is WAY too expensive to replace batteries in a used 10 tear old car...it just isn't smart to buy a used 10-15 year old electric car, worth $10,000, only to have to spend $15,000 on replacement batteries. So not both the car and the batteries are scrapped creating a massive environmental crisis. I'm totally ignoring the fact that electric cars currently cannot drive long distances without having to stop for multiple hours to recharge. lololol
