borgetting bored with the SOLdANO SLO i own... NXT?

getting bored with the 1992 SOLdANO SLO i own ...i. Would like Something Similar in Quality more Percussive an More ''British'' in tone.... Capable of Classic rock through to Metal..... ''if it has'' a clean channel i;d LIKe it to Be VOXish.... ''NO fender tones''!!!!
anybody recommend Me something in a Head OR Rack SYSTeM ?.....
i owned a bogner XTc once but the GAIN dosnt SUSTAIN like the SLO and also squeels/feebacks at volume unlike the slo....
 
Have you looked at a Rhodes Collosus?

I don't give a rats ass about the tag on the front of an amp. I had not heard of Rhodes. Turns out they are highly respected great quality amps with huge range.

I'm wanting my end all channel switcher. Getting down to Herbert, CCV, Collosus, VH4.

You got the SLO. No love for getting a DSL and possibly have it modded to your tone shape?
 
Have you tried KT66's in your SLO ? To my ears that definitely shifts the amp more towards Marshall territory...

The new Marshall JVM Satriani head would be my pick. Uncompressed, punchy with a whole range of clean to high gain that's footswitchable

I got an SLO and a Bogner Ecstasy. My XTC never squeeled. It's more British but not what I'd call percussive. More squishy, which I like.

KT-66's in a SLO will only give the SLO voice some more lower mids.

The Landry LS100M is cool. Marshall all the way w/ a nice clean channel.
 
I don't quite understand getting bored with the SLO either :no: - as it is my all time favorite Amp, but I also own a Splawn Quick Rod and agree with the previous post that it might be something you would like - I love my Splawn and my SLO :rock:
 
Ever try any ENGLs? Maybe the Savage might tickle your fancy...

I think you must be bored with typing too based on how random that is as well.
 
Be careful what you wish for. You can get amps that'll be more edgy or metally, but in terms of high gainers, the SLO may be the most musically organic there is.

I haven't had a ton of amps, but several and the SLO is the only one I occasionally miss.

Why not get bored of a SLO? Hell, there's at least 3 guys bored with their "best I've ever heard" Cameron's in the classifieds :lol: :LOL:
