I've watched these videos w glen delaune super impressed. Esp his video w 4 cable w splawn. I want to use it for fx only n switching. Anyone here use it ? Tnx

I had one, as well as pretty much all of the other mid-tier effects units; Line 6, Digitech, Zoom, etc...

The GT-100 has *the* fastest patch changing in this category. At least it seems to from my experience - no dropouts when changing the presets, no lag, seems instantaneous. This is important if you plan to use it in 4 cable mode, because you don't want your preamp being muted every time you change a preset on the downbeat of a chord or note.

The tap tempo behaviour is frustrating. The delay time doesn't smoothly transition like with the Zoom units, the TC Flashback X4, the Nova Delay, the DL-4, or (confusingly) the Boss DD-7. So you're going to get very strange pitch artifacts like an old bucket brigade delay pedal. This was kind of a pain in the ass for me, which is why I sent mine back.

Having two screens makes programming the unit extremely easy. It's the most user friendly unit on the market in this respect, being out several of the higher end units.

You get about 12 slots iirc, more than enough if you just want to use effects. Most of the effects are servicable; not earth shattering like you'd get from Strymon or someone like that, but good enough.

Most importantly, the tonal colouration is very transparent. More transparent than the Line 6 HD500.

I've tried most, just looking for a good pedal for home switch channels on amps n have the good fx. I don't get blown away by expensive pedals. I have had them all n when it comes down to it most of these units have good fx. At least good for me. No one knows the diff between a line 6 live n a story on live. Nor could most give a fuck.

I've looked at the fender mustang floor(midi) zoom g5 ( no midi) n tc nova (midi)

Gt allows 4cm I wish digitech 1000 had midi like the gsp but No go.

Sofar gsp1101 was the best unit I ever used. I really wished gsystem was it all but not close to ease of use n transparency of gsp.

I like mine a lot. I chose it over others mostly based on ease of use, like the previous posted said the 2 screens makes everything quick and easy to navigate the signal chain. The signal chain is pretty flexible as well, you can insert send/return points almost anywhere in the chain for 4CM. If there's any weak point from a usability perspective, there's no way to interact with the GT-100 or configure your settings from a PC through the USB port, it's only good for backing up and restoring your settings and upgrading firmware.

I think you have a Rhodes as well? Mine works well in the loop of my Colossus. There's a bit of tone suck but that could be me not having dialed in my loop and FX send/return levels optimally. Otherwise the effects sound decent enough.

At some point I was going to have the Colossus and the GT-100 switching together with MIDI but I think was a problem with the GT-100 not sending out PC or CC MIDI commands in the range the Colossus MIDI works or vice versa, it's been a while.
