Hello everyone!
I've been a Boss fan for many years, and for the last five years I've been using the MS-3 effectively.
However, over time, I began to notice the limitations and shortcomings of this device, and I started thinking about replacing it with something more modern. Considering the advantages and disadvantages of the MS-3, and the fact that I use tube amps and pedals, the following are essential for me:
1. A relay output for switching amplifier channels
2. The ability to connect two expression pedals (one of which can be integrated)
3. Possibility of connection using 5CM for full stereo output
4. 32-bit, 48K processing
5. Low latency
6. Extensive MIDI capabilities
7. Large display (touchscreen if possible)
8. A large number and high quality of spatial and modulation effects(in particular, a stereo Looper is required)
9. Large headroom, since the MS-3 very strongly limited the signal at the input and output.
10. Compact dimensions
The obvious choice is the GX-100)))
However, it's huge and heavy. It feels like it came straight out of the 90s...The GX-100 has eaten up space on my board and is killing my back)))
After the GX-10's release, I was somewhat disappointed, expecting something different: more switches, more options for tube amps, but in a more compact package. The GX-10 was definitely not designed for me.
Look at my fantasies about the new GX1000 (or GX-100 MK2). Yes, it doesn't exist yet, but in my mind, a similar form factor, combined with updated power, would be a diamond in the rough for many.
Perhaps, through joint efforts, we can attract the attention of Boss engineers and speed up the release of a new masterpiece from the legendary guitar equipment manufacturer!
