Nope.. I simply unplugged one pedal and plugged the other one in.

The MIJ is a lot smoother and clearer. The MIT seems darker. Both sound good.

I thought something along those lines. I thought the MIT was more aggressive and modern-sounding. The MIJ was smoother and clearer like you said.

The big difference for me was the feel. The MIJ feels more fluid, while the MIT feels stiffer... Not sure that makes any sense...

Yup... That's kinda what I've been hearing. I thought both have a place. The MIT was more aggressive and hairy. The MIJ is like Dave said.

unless my speakers are fried, there is a big difference between the two. the MIJ actually sounded less gainy then the MIT and the MIT definitely sounded more agressive. all IMHO of course but both sounded good!

But seriously, there's definitely an audible difference between the two. Which is "better" is a matter of preference, of course.
