So, I got a new dual boost pedal after realizing that for the stuff I play I need some kind of a boost for that extra definition in my tone(tech metal stuff), but I also wanted a pedal to boost my leads and get a more saturated tone, and came up with the concept for a dual boost pedal, one side for rhythm work, the other for leads.
I talked to a local company in Israel named piggy fx(here is the company's site, real boutique stuff http://www.piggyfx.com/) that builds custom hand made pedals and they did it, and here is how it looks:
So, meet the Dual Pig! (I've actually named it lol).
Each side has 2 knobs, Volume, Gain, Hi and Lo, each of them does what it suppoused to aside of one exception - the hi knob on the left side is more of like a mid knob that kinda emphasizes certain midrange frequencies, this is ment for shaping the lead tone abit as the EQ I'm using on my amp is suited more for rhythm work.
I'll probably make a video of it sometime soon, but for now all I can say is that it works fantastic, if you're not too brutal with the level and hi controls it wont affect the tone drastically but would rather enhance it, which I really like, I love my bogner's tone and didnt want to change it, just to get that extra clarity and defenition in technical rhythm stuff and that extra saturation in leads.
That's it, videos soon (-:
Daniel.
