Not sure if this is more appropriate here or in OTC since it's semi gear related. I put it here for now, but will let mods decide where it ultimately belongs.
My old small tin storage shed was on its last leg and it was time to get a new one. I had the idea to get a nice sized shed and make that into my work shop instead of the garage. Then I can do a little work in the garage like insulate and add a mini split to turn it into my music space. That idea made the wife happy because it would mean she could turn the bedroom with my gear into a workout room she's been wanting. My goal is to have everything said and done by the end of the year.
It took a little time, but I saved up the money needed for the shed and was waiting for a good sale. Tuff Shed had a 2 week 10% off sale that would save me a little over $1K so I ordered one last week It's the barn style and will be 16'x16' with and 16'x8' storage loft. It's a little smaller than the garage, but with the storage loft for the random crap it'll actually give me more room to work. This past week has been getting sales contract and permitting in order. Yesterday evening Tuff Shed called to schedule installation. I put it for a couple months out to give me more than enough time to remove the old shed and make sure the area is leveled.
So that's step one of ultimately doubling the size of my music space. The current space is 10'x11' and the garage I'll move stuff into is 20'x20'. That means more room for more gear.
I'll finally have space to set up my e-drum kit and build a couple of cabs I've been thinking about doing. One I want to build a 415 and load it with a quad of Celestion Fullbacks.
