Just thought I'd give a heads up regarding Bradshaw doing the amp selector again. With his amp selectors you can of course run 2 to 4 heads into one cabinet but..You can also use Delay/Echo of which any other one that I know of...you can't. He'll basically build it how you want it and it's damn reasonable!! I'm having him build me a simple 2 into one cab model and it was alot less than I expected but of course..Mines like a bare bones thing..No lines out or any other feature like that so...if your lookin...He's building!!

Good news. I own a 4x4 and an RS10 and a Stereo line mixer. Anything out of Bradshaw's shop is first class. I use 2 of the loops on my 4x4 for amp AB/Y purposes (each head with its own cab). But, a built for purpose switcher is nice. Is he answering emails these days or did you have to call him? He is hell to pin down sometimes for us small-timers.

It is something I should have. I have never been completely happy with one amp live. I can switch on/off with the GCX. But I think there is a better way.

Been wondering about these, I've been using a Voodoo labs switcher, but it does change the tone a bit, which I hate. It is most noticeable when running 2-3 at the same time. some wet, some dry. Wonder if the Bradshaw unit is different?

I have been through them all and anything he builds is second to none. If you can nail down Bob long enough to build something for you, go for it. All the loops are isolated and totally transparent. The RS10 switcher is easy to program and everything is built like a Panzer tank.

You can switch the CAE amp selector via relay switches or via MIDI (I switch mine via MIDI). Bob Custom did a rig for me, and I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Yes...

From what i understand, and maybe Zach can confirm this, is that with the Bradshaw Amp Selector you can have 4 heads hooked up but only 1 amp can be used at a time. You cant run multiple amps into the same cab at the same time.

4 heads into one cab and yes...one amp at a time which is what it's intended to do.

Correct. There is a protective load for the unused amps, and the cabinet is the load for the amp which is used.

There have been a few amp selectors, designed to run multiple amps simultaneously, but they won't allow you to do it into the same cab, unless perhaps you are blending preamps, or multiple heads which are loaded down each with it's own hotplate (or other load device) such as with the Mesa/Boogie Amp Switcher

But, get a 4x4 loop switcher and you can run multiple heads, as long as each head has a cab or load. This is what I do. No hum or ground issues to deal with either. The 4 channel inserts can be used to switch amp channels on the amps via Midi.

I need to get Bob to build me a rack interface like you have there Zackman with inputs, MIDI thru's, amp inputs and speaker outs. Since he seems to be back up and running, I may give him a shout. These save loads of time on set up and cable routing from the pedalboard to the rack.

Ya, the interface is actually my Loop switching system.

It does make setup a breeze.

Got hold of Bob. He is sending me a new RS-5 Midi controller. Takes up less real estate on the board and even easier to program than the RS-10. He left for Spain yesterday until July 20th and will build me a Rack Interface when he returns.

I have been staying away from Bradshaw stuff and even deleted the link from my favorites, that is one money pit I am very afraid of

Bob rushed my selector cuz he was going traveling...Got it within a week of ordering it...Works great!!!! Not saying thats always going to be the case but..Cool of him to get it out so quick!!

Which Amp Selector did you get - the 4 head/1 load switcher or something else?

Just a simple 2 amp head 1 load switcher...bare bones. No line outs or anything. All connections on the back of the unit with only input and led indicator lights on the front

Some of it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! I thought the same at the outset, but it is all hand built to order and of the highest quality. I would rather pay up for something built on a bench in Cali by Bob than something mass produced in China by Xiang. You will never worry about a ground loop or other annoying interference with Bob's stuff. I much prefer his gear over Voodoo, Rocktron, or other mass marketed stuff. The 4x4 I bought off eBay was about 6 years old at the time and I have had it a couple years. Still works like it was built yesterday.

My two cents FWIW (2 cents) :D
