Brandon Ellis new Jackson Custom

I have to agree with him on 25.5 going to baritone scale lengths - for lead playing the 26.5” really suck. I’m sure the 0.5” difference is just enough.

The cutouts are next level gay...the only change in the recipe that was cool was the reverse hs and ss frets on his first designs. The titanium trem is debatable. I'm sure the carbon fiber reinforced neck is in play here. That was a great idea from the custom shop 15yrs ago. That wasn't an option on my Masterbuilt Shannon mahogany neck-thru. Thankfully the neck is stable. Brandon by is by far the greatest player of the age without question. Love to see him playing Jackson guitars.

A savage diss and respectful praise in the same post. Love it. The world isn’t black and white and neither should our opinions be

At least I didn't go neo soul. I'm not a politician and imo there's too much on RT already. Fuck the cutouts.
I don't really understand the neo soul thing. And politics are a fool's trap that too many walk into like cows to slaughter. But that guitar has a single pickup and it is a jackson. That is pretty cool in itself

Dude there is nothing ghey about those cut outs on the King Kelly, they date back to the 80's when Robin Crosby wanted one with the cutouts because the guitarst from Overkill got one made and then for a number of years they were unavailable as an option because it took so song to properly sand and finish one with those cut outs. I think it's very cool that they offer it now.

You may, I don't and knew long ago too. It just looks too pinstripe to me. It ain't a lowrider and if it was I wouldn't play this music in one.

Not even close...Brandon has emotion and expression unlike him. He doesn't even sound like he's making music unlike Brandon.
