Breed or EVO2?

I'm getting an Ibanez Rg570 and am looking at turning it into a nice singing lead guitar. I've used the EVO2 before and really like it but am interested in the Breed. I want something that's really fat and punchy but still has a lot of cut. I don't want it to be overly warm.

Who has used both or either and has some advice?

An Air Norton will be in the neck position.

Thanks

I have used both and I found the Breed to be too mellow. It is VERY well balanced, but really has no emphasis in anything and did not have much drive to it. I think the EVO would be far better as it drives more and seems to cut more IMO. I would almost call it a juiced breed.

had the evo, and really hated that pickup. too linear/defined/consistant and the lead tones had a bitey character to them - not thin though.

tonezone is much less confined-sounding than the evo, much heavier sounding pickup and still has that awsome linear character that dimarzio's are known for when you hit a chord. it cleans up well and the tone stays tight but still amazingly forgiving - where i thought the evo got harder to play with solo sections and was much too-controlled sounding overall.

i much prefer a tonezone over an evo, and an evo is higher-output than an evoII.

tonezone/air norton is what i run now in my '05 RG1670 prestige and love it.

Rio Grande BBQ 'bucker! Very warm with GREAT harmonics.
