This would be going in a PRS SE 245. Following up on a previous post.

I've been mulling over a bridge HB. Been talking with a few guys, but I'm leaning pretty heavily towards Wolfetone. Looking at either the more vintage Dr. V/Marshallhead combo or MKII/Timbre Wolf combo. Going a little hotter than I currently have in my other guitar (Wilde L90) would be cool, but I want good cleans and all that fun stuff, too.

Anyone play both that can compare the Mhead and TWolf?

Additionally, the Seymour Duncan Perpetual Burn, Suhr SSH and Suhr DSH also have my attention...they seem to hit a nice sweet spot between PAF and JB type of output.

I have both and both are great pickups. Both sound awesome when you throw some gain at them but the Marshallhead is the one your after if you want it clean up better with the guitars volume. It sounds more vintage too.

Right on. I've been pestering Wolfe on my own back and forth lol. He mentioned the Marshallhead definitely cleaning up better.

How's it sound compared to the Timbre Wolf under gain? I know the Wolf has higher output but can the Marshallhead bring the heat too?

Yea, but the Wolf will get you there a little easier. Like I said, the Marshallhead will sound a little more like a PAF the Wolf will sound more compressed. Just buy both like I did.

Suhr SSh is a great pickup, I had one and it sounded great under gain (not modern gain). Swapped for a Schec Pasadena and dig it more tho.

What more can you say about the SSH? Is it more like a PAF? Or Jb? Somewhere in between, or more its own thing?
