Recorded this video comparing some different BKP bridge pickups :)

Cool video! Thanks!

I'd say what's missing from every pickup company website is a library of clips of their different pickups recorded under exactly the same environments. Doing it with the Kemper seems like a leap in the right direction.
Like you say, the guitar really affects the sound of the pickup. I've researched pickups on a lot of forums and generally have to decipher a torrent of pretentious, subjective information.
A lot of it is contradictory as well. Some people saying a pickup is compressed and someone else saying how open it is and more often than not, I suspect it's the guitar/amp & settings governing it.

loved the HD and Emerald the most.. what guitar was this in and what tuning?
Over the years I somehow learned that some of the BKP pickups are really shining in lower tunings (painkiller for instance) than some which really should not be tuned lower than drop D (like the HD) but that also depends on guitars, tones and we all know what else heh..

Thanks guys :)
All the guitars were 7-strings in regular tuning (top 6 strings standard, with a low B on the seventh string).
I know exactly what you're saying about the fact that they're different guitars, it definitely changes the tone and some pickups really don't suit certain guitars, etc.
Having said that, after building/owning lots of guitars/pickups and BKP's in particular, I'm pretty happy that these clips are fairly good representations of the relative tones of each one, if you get my meaning? :) I wouldn't have included one if I thought that it didn't represent the tone of the pickup correctly :)
FWIW, the HD was in a metal guitar with a rosewood neck (lol), and the Emerald in a ash/walnut single cut with a wenge neck ;)

Cool shootout! I dig the HD and surprisingly, the Stockholm the best. The Ibanez pup can go in the trash. :D

That's some good stuff right there! Thanks so much! Now to finally throw my rebel yells in my LP.

Dug the Painkiller. That lead WAILED! Tastey riffs the last part of that. \m/

Totally confirms my love of the RY!!! I've got a set in my current LP and it just screams. IMO they're the best LP pickups on the market with a mid/high gain amp.

Cool! The RY is awesome, although I love the HD, Emerald, and Stockholm equally as much - depends what tone I'm after at the time! ;)

Anyone got any preferences as to which BKP models would be 'best' to add to this test next? (I'm gonna do another version later with more pickups added)

Awesome demo and comparison. Best I've seen yet. I'd love to hear these next: VHII, Mule, Black Dog, Riff-Raff, and the Crawler.

Cold Sweat is my current BKP of choice, would love to hear it in this comparison.

Rebel Yell surprised me, I've always read about how it's lean in the bass, but here it sounds really full, but not like a "knock you in the gut" bass, but almost like a "cloud", a pleasant, 3D, clear, airy bass that surrounds and supports the overall sound.

Yeah I wouldn't say the RY is light on bass - it's much more high mid focused than the HD for example which makes it feel more toppy, but there's still enough bottom end there if you want it :)

I'd love to hear Nailbomb, Aftermath and Miracle Man

I have a Nailbomb incoming at the moment, so that'll definitely get added.
Next is to do a reasonably comprehensive BKP Cobra review - just finished a guitar with them in and I love it!
