Scored a T-Top for the neck of my 98 LP Classic.

UNBELIEVABLE... fantastic!

Clear but punchy, LOUD, articulate, almost immediate clean tone but still dig in and it crunches sweetly... can't say enough... Blues machine...

"Had" a Duncan Custom 5 alreay in the bridge which now sounds, trebly, lower in volume, thin.

I know the SH14 is supposed to be a little scooped, and it's now VERY apparent.

I have adjusted the pickup heights, and pole pieces to no avail.

The T-Top neck sounds rich and full, the Custom 5 sounds like a punk.

Reccomendations for bridge?

I'd like to keep a vintage vibe, Closest one to the T-top for the bridge?
(I've heard T-Top's actually in the bridge position aren't all that great, and I can't "Score" another one!)

I have had in this guitar's bridge 500t's, 498's, did not like either. To much output, and muddy respectively...

Thanks!!

My '77 LP came with a '83 Gibson humbucker in the neck and a 498t in the bridge. The Gibson pickup sounds great in the neck position. Didn't care for the 498t in the bridge so I tried EVH Frankenstein (loved it in my Charvel strat, not so much in the LP), Manlius 9.86 ohm w/ A2 magnet, and finally scored a T top for the bridge. The T top is THE ONE in this LP by far. The Manlius was a distant second. If you are patient you can score another T top for a decent price. The Manlius T top replica looks interesting for $85 new.

I have a bare knuckle riff raff bridge/mule neck in my 1973 les paul custom
they are absolutely amazing
I love the bridge mule as well, and it sounds a little more organic and toneful than the riff raff, but it's not as defined under heavier gain (not as the riff raff, but still more defined than any duncan, dimarzio or gibson I had)
I also have the vhII and black dog models, which are a little hotter, but also vintage voiced
the vhII is punchier and edgier, very articulate
the dog is middier and darker, with lots of sustain and growl

I'd pick any of these over a t-top or tim shaw any day

I've heard the T-Top in the bridge can be trebly and underpowered... not really diggin that idea. They are a little trebly, but very balanced and that works awesome in the neck... Just weant something articulate to mate with it in the bridge...

Remember though I'm trying to find a complimentary bridge pickup to the T-Tops neck sound...

I can email Bare knuckles too though....

I had heard/read the same thing and also read that they were great, even "magical"  . I think it just depends on the right pickup in the right guitar. I love the t top in the bridge of my LP, but a different t top in my LP, or my t top in another LP might not have worked out. In the end it's all about the right comibination, whether it's pickups in a guitar, guitar>amp, guitar>fx>amp, etc.... It never ends does it? :D
