In a pinch TU-2 :scared:

Thanks, I was looking for something like the Axess. I also read that Dave Philips suggested(Rackdoctor) that as a buffer aswell. I never would have known. I was looking just to see if there was anything else like the Axess. There was somebody on HRI who was making one that was perfect, but he has not been around.
I also found one from http://www.pedalboardjunction.com . I don't know how good the buffer is, but it has a switchable loop.

Our Minimix II is a buffer
What is the application?

I was going to use this with a pedalboard and a combo. I figured I could switch the fx out when not in use.
I most likely will use a Boss TU-2 , since the setup is small and practical for practices after work. (easy load and go) I am currently using a mini mix with my OD100se+ with a G- Sharp for reverb and a Time Factor. The mini mix II is something I want to check out at Namm, if I go.

I belive all the Boss pedals are not passive and work as a buffer. I have seen more than a few acoustic sets with a TU2 as the buffer used.

Boss TU2 definitely works decent, so long as you have a clear, true-bypass signal after it.

Start stacking up 2 or 3 boss pedals, and that's when things start to sound funny to me. Like a copy of a copy of a copy...

I use the Axxess BS2. Works great. I've A/B's it against the TU2, and in a critical listening test, it does indeed sound better. But at cranked stage volumes, I doubt anyone would be able to really tell the difference.
