the fossils in charge of both parties in Congress have zero incentive to fix the deficit; in fact they have every incentive to increase it, launder the money and enrich themselves and their heirs. They'll be long dead before the situation is critical and passed the point of correcting.
Good news though, we have Kameltoe supporters here that want to accelerate the decline, expand murdering babies, increase the invasion and destroy the US economy...why else would anyone vote for demoncrats?

brass & lead; first aid; 1 month of water; 6 months of food; (gravity) water purification system with spare filters;
Now I just need a water maker (filter & desalinization) and solar generator - both of which I'll need on a sailboat.

Aluminum ain’t worth much. Copper or brass, that’s worth saving. I sold 55 gallon drums of that to the scrap guy for years.

It takes me years to collect a good amount of copper & brass. Currently have a 5 gallon bucket of brass including a riding cymbal that will never play again, time to take it in.
Lots of copper wire to burn off but I hate that job.

I made a couple hundred bucks scrapping the copper wire out the old single wide trailer. Copper does add up quick but if you get heavy chunks of aluminum, especially something already clean, like a busted up set of alloy rims or heavy aircraft aluminum plate that will def bring some cash and is worth the hassle.

I took some in last weekend. Red brass, yellow brass and #2 copper. It was about 5 weeks worth. Got enough to buy a mid tier 32 gun safe.

Burn the insulation off in a barrel, then wash it “clean” with a water hose. Dirty job.
