Hey guys,

I am very new to the business of buying amps. I am also on quite a tight budget. Can anyone telling me about the Bugera Trirec? Is it worth it?

I don't know many folks that have used it. They look to sell in the $750-800 range. For that money there are several known quantity amps I'd take first; 5150, Peavey Ultra, Marshall DSL are all very capable.

Dont. You can get a used 2ch Mesa rectifier for the same price that will be much much better. Or a 5150/6505

Bugera is a sub company of Behringer. They make their money on cheap knock offs. I use and like some of their stuff for budget work, but keep an eye on the used markets, you will usually find better gear for reasonable prices gently used.

if u can pick one up for 300 bucks then its ok deal but for u would be crazy to pay $800 for one as u can find real mesa's for that or plenty of other amps that will hold up for years and retain their value.

I appreciate all the input! I have to agree that I would much rather getting a used amp that's the real deal instead of buying a cheap knockoff.

Does anyone have any input on something like a Blackstar HT-100?

If it's anything like the HT-5 I played last night, it will be filled with fucking WIN. Damn, that was a fun little amp. Good tones, excellent value for the money.
