did some A/B ing. what a great peadal, plus true bypass. if you were thinking about doing it, do it. totally worth it. sounds dead on. knob settings were slightly diff but tone was dead on.

I've wanted to checkout their stuff, but can't justify paying more for a kit than it would cost for the actual pedal they are copying.

Yeah... It looks like it could be cool if you enjoy the assembly, sort of like building a model.

But you can get a real CE2 for that sort of money, and not have to go through all of the work if that isn't your thing.

wll, the true bypass is the deal maker for me. I cant stand the boss pedal loading. I hear it. i feel it it sucks tone.

I have really liked most of the BYOC pedals I have built. Only the Tribooster do I not use regularly. I am not looking for a chorus, but if I am, I will give this some consideration. I wish BYOC would offer enclosures that are repainted with graphics. You can buy the enclosures prepainted, but you still have to put on the graphics. For me the soldering is the fun part, the painting, not so much. All mine are black with labels done with a label maker.

Started building byoc in 2005, killer kits for the DIY community. Kills boss dead.
