Bypassing an effect in a signal chain.

Hey all,

Google bypass and guitar effect, brings up with a lot of info about internal effect electronics, so I thought I'd ask here.

I just got a Boss Octave. I'd like to run the direct output through my Chorus and reverb, and have the base effect out of the octave come into the signal after the chorus and reverb.

Interested in any and all ideas to to achieve this

AB-Y boxes. Split it at the Octave, run a chain and the bypass to A and B (respectively), and take the Y out. Plus, this gives you the option of selecting one input or the other at the switch to toggle on and off the entire chain at once.
