CAB Blue screen of death

Hey please help, first the Cab (original not the new cab m ) when turning nob to change cab would jump from user preset 1 to 78 to 35 to whatever so would only work if plug into pc and set from there and all good as long as i dont touch anything on the pedal. Now when power up just a blue screen and nothing more. Tried multipul power methods from original one to strymon power block set at 12volts. So is it safe to say the pedal is dead? its over 5 years now and has had heavy use. Its it time to buy the new cab m.
 
The first problem sounds like a dirty pot (nob). Evolving to an initialization problem is possible but uncommon. If you get a new CABM then you could try cleaning the pot and see if you can revive the old one since there is nothing to lose at that point. They're on sale now for US $249 from $299 so good time to buy.

will do, its strange. this happened once before. The blue screen. I sent it to france and the two notes guys said it was fine and sent it back. It then worked perfect for last 2 years
